BOGGART:
a boggart is a shape shifter that prefers to live in dark, confined spaces, taking the form of the thing most feared by the person it encounters; nobody knows what a boggart looks like in its natural state. a boggart appears to feed on the emotion of fear rather than simply deploying this ability as a defense mechanism, hence its classification as a dark creature. with this is mind, state what shape your character's boggart would change into. further more, explain what appearance the boggart would take on under the effect of the Riddikulus spell. (remember, when performed correctly, the Riddikulus spell forces the boggart to take on an appearance which will inspire the laughter that forms an effective defense against the creature.

PATRONUS:
a patronus is silvery-white, conjured creature created by using the patronus charm. the patronus is used against dementors and lethifolds. with this in mind tells us what kind of creature your character would conjure as his or her patronus.

AMORTENTIA:
amortentia is a love potion that smells differently to different people according to what attracts them. with that in mind tell us what the amortentia potion would smell like to your character? what attracts your character?

ERISED:
the mirror of erised shows the deepest desire of whoever looks into it. with this in mind tell us what is the deepest desire your character would see in the mirror. for ex: harry potter's deepest desire was to be with his parents and family. this is what he saw when he looked into the mirror of erised.

DEMENTOR EVOKED MEMORY:
a dementor is a creature that feeds on fear. exposure to a dementor forces one to relive one's worst memories. with this in mind tell us what is the worst memory your character would be forced to relive. for ex: when harry is faced with a dementor he relives the memory of his parents death (the green light of the avada kedavera and his mother's screams).

PERSONALITY
make a full description of your character's personality. requirements: a minumum of two substantial and detailed paragraphs.

HOUSE:
state what house you would like your character to belong to.
are you a daring, courageous, and chivalrous; gryffindor?
are you a just, loyal, patient, and hardworking, hufflepuff?
are you an intelligent, wise, and witty ravenclaw?
are you a cunning, shrewd, ambitious, and self-preserving slytherin?

make your choice wisely! make sure that your character's personality fits the house that you would like to belong to. before you are sorted, the admins WILL take your characters personality including all of your answers under the "what i like about you" category into consideration before making their final decision on where to place you. do not be dissapointed if you are not sorted into your choice of house. also note if you select a canon character from our » cannon list please fill in the appropriate hogwarts house as already stated on the list.

state what year you would like your character to be in currently. 1st - 7th year.

state an alternative hogwarts house for your character to belong to. this may not be the same as your first choice above unless you have selected a canon character that already belongs to a specific house.

FIRST YEAR:
What calendar year did your character start his/her first year at Hogwarts? ex: Harry started his first year in 1991 at the age of 11 years old. Remember, all eligible witches and wizards receive their letters at the age of 11.

state your character's favorite school subject.

LEAST FAVORITE SUBJECT:
state your character's least favorite subject.

SUBJECTS TAKING:
what school subjects is your character currently taking?
core classes: astronomy, charms, defense against the dark arts, herbology, history of magic, potions, and transfigurations.
elective classes: ancient runes, arithmancy, care of magical creatures, divinations, and muggle studies.
first and second years only take the seven core classes at the end of second year the students choose two or more of the additional elective classes. in fourth year they may choose to drop one elective class but must continue with all core classes. in fifth year students continue with the same classes again with the option to drop one of their additional electives. in the sixth year your classes depend on how well you did on your O.W.L exams thus you may choose to drop classes as long as you remain in six also keep in mind that if there is a particular career such as that of an auror that you are interested in there are certain classes that you will be required to take. seventh year is much like sixth depending on your career you will likely choose to continue in classes pertaining to your choosen career path but make sure to choose at least six classes.

GRADUATED:
has your character graduated from Hogwarts? if so state what calendar year your character graduated. if not simply fill in "n/a".

has your character attended any schools other than hogwarts? if so state which school. if not fill in "n/a".

WAND:
wands are created from wood with some magical substance at its heart. wands are classified by means of four characteristics: length, type of wood, quality of motion when waved, and type of magical ingredient. with this is mind describe your character's wand with those 4 characteristics. for help see » which wand?.

BROOMSTICK:
a flying broomstick is not simply a "normal" broomstick pressed into service as a mode of transportation. The flying broomstick is a magical item with built-in charms. with this is mind what broomstick does your character own? if your character does not own a broom then fill in "n/a".

OTHER MAGICAL DEVICES:
the wizarding world is filled with enchanted objects, bewitched items, and magical devices. Some of these are unique artifacts, others are common devices which no wizarding family would be without. Some are harmless fun, others are useful, while still others are dangerous or powerfully magical. with this is mind tells us about what special or unique magical devices your character may have. for example harry had the marauders map and the invisibility cloak amongst other things.
