APPEARANCE:

Riley stands at a very unintimidating five feet, three inches short. She is not overly skinny, but not unhealthily overweight either. She weighs about 130 pounds. Although that sounds heavy for her height, Riley is actually on the slender side. And there is even little bit of muscle that can be found on her body. From years of running for exercise, it is more apparent in her legs than any other region, but it is her legs that she is most proud of. She has very lean arms, and small hands, complete with perfectly manicured nails (her mother insists that her girls have manicures weekly). For a female, she isn't too well-endowed in the chest area, but she isn't completely flat-chested either; she has just enough to be satisfied and no more.

Riley has a softly curved, heart-shaped face, although her jawline is a bit strong for her own personal liking at times. This is one reason why she hates to smile with her teeth. Slender yet somewhat plump, pink lips guard her gorgeous white smile, a result of years and years of brushing, flossing and rinsing three times a day, a habit which still continues. A rather small nose and high cheekbones are the rather plain base for her almond-shaped, crystalline blue eyes (her personal favourite part of her body). About an inch and a half up from her eyes is a long curtain of wavy blonde hair, well-kempt most of the time, but sometimes even the girls who seem perfect on the outside just let it be.

Not one too concerned about outward beauty as she is about inner-beauty, (unlike her younger sister) Riley doesn't wear a lot of make-up, not even on special occasions. Even her clothing style is a bit more conservative than that of her younger sister. Rather than opting for short skirts and low-cut shirts, she prefers jeans and a baby doll tee, or a skirt that reaches a little above the knee or longer and a nice top. She is known to wear dresses on occasion, but those are mostly sundresses in the summertime. When it comes to her hair, she prefers to wear it down in it's naturally wavy state, but is also known to wear it up in a messy bun.

BOGGART:
Riley's boggart takes the shape of her mother clapping and otherwise silently cheering for her. Throughout her entire life, her mother has pressured her and ultimately forced her to live life the way her mother thought appropriate, and the last thing she wants to do at this point (though she won't readily admit it) is do something to make her mother happy.

PATRONUS:
Riley's patronus takes on the shape of a Mediterranean Monk Seal. It is believed to be the world's rarest pinniped and one of the most endangered mammals of the world. It grows from approximately 80 centimeters long at birth to an average of 2.40 meters in adults. Their fur is black (males) or brown to dark grey (females) with a paler belly which is close to white in males.

AMORTENTIA:
Riley's love potion smells at first of the freshly fallen rain. Then, as if ushered in by a light breeze, it pleasantly changes to the smell of freshly cut strawberries. The final ingredient in the aroma of her Amortentia potion is an expensive french cologne, worn only by her closest friend.

ERISED:
Though most would say she's the girl who has everything and couldn't possibly want more, Riley's most secret desire is to have a family of her own, and to be the mother that she never had.

DEMENTOR EVOKED MEMORY:
Perhaps Riley's most terrifying moments were the ones in her childhood that involved her mother and her overbearing ways. From a young age, Riley had been practically brainwashed that being beautiful, graceful, powerful and rich were the most important things in the world. Whenever she will come in contact with a dementor, the memories of her mother yelling or forcing her to do things against her will be the ones she relives.

PERSONALITY

There are about three words to describe the 'stereotypical blonde': ditzy, unintelligent, and easy. Three simple words that definitely do not describe Riley Ravelli. Although she may look like your average every day airhead, she is far from being the dumb blonde that most people would expect her to be.

Intelligent

Unlike her siblings, Jacob and Daniela, Riley has always been keenly focused on her school work. Much to the disapproval of her mother, Riley has always spent more time on her homework than she has fixing her hair. Inspired by her father, Riley always had motivation to work hard and exceed the expectations of not only herself, but those around her. Renowned as one of the most intelligent and diligent workers in the Slytherin house, many people find themselves asking her for help with assignments (including her brother and sister). Bound to graduate as one of the top ten in her class, Riley is very proud of her above-average blonde intelligence.

Little Rich Girl

Most people see the rich as arrogant, overbearing and selfish. Well, those are characteristics that Riley exhibits on a much smaller scale than most wealthy people. A child who grew up spoiled, she has learned the value of money and power, but she has also seen the horrible corruption that is can bestow upon people. As a little girl, she was around her parents before they became wealthy, so she also understands that wealth is never a guaranteed thing, which makes her a bit more humble than her siblings who have grown up rich their entire life. Riley also understands that the setbacks and challenges her parents faced not only provide valuable lessons that helped them find the way to great wealth, but it also strengthened their ability to face adversities in life. Selfless as she is, Riley has never believed in buying things only for herself. Aside from being the only Ravelli child to give Christmas presents to the family, Riley is also the only Ravelli that donates money to St. Mungo’s during the holidays.

Confident

Riley has a strong sense of self confidence which some people perceive as arrogance, although she isn’t half as bad as her younger sister. Riley's self-confidence is so strong at times that it seems almost contagious, although it has the possibility of being shaken by external factors such as insults. Riley is an optimist who tries her hardest to maintain a positive outlook most of the time, although at times she can fall into a slump.

Sympathetic

Riley is for the most part a person of feeling and sensation. Often she will ignore her own judgment and rationality, and someone else’s reasonable advice, in favour of how she feels. She doesn’t care if she’s wrong, either! If her intuition tells her to do something, like reaching out to give someone a helping hand, she’ll just do it. Others turn to her when they need a shoulder to cry on. She oftentimes finds it difficult to turn away anyone in need. Anyone who knows her well enough will agree that she is one of the best people to connect with if they need advice. Friends will turn to her if they are in trouble, knowing that her sensitive and compassionate touch will lighten their load.

Perceptive

Riley is extremely receptive to her environment and the people around her, and will often ‘pick up’ other people’s energies, moods and thoughts. This ability serves her well; her intuition about people is quite often correct. Riley’s knack of knowing people’s issues before they even open their mouths attracts them to her. The difficulty with this, though, is that she tends to absorb their emotions — negative as well as positive. This amazing sympathy, however, can lead to trouble because, like most people, Riley’s emotions can get the better of her, and this causes her moods to swing from high to low. Family and friends who have known her for extensive periods of time will know of this and understand it’s only temporary, but it has never once led them to doubt her loyalty and supportiveness.

Creative

Creativity is essentially the art of discovery and an act of faith. When you create something, you discover parts of yourself that you never knew existed. Creative people have a strong need to express more of who they really are and often have to fight for that right. Riley is one of those people. Being a writer, she enjoys just putting a quill to the paper and allowing the words to spill out, even if they make no sense. Aside from writing, she has many other creative outlets, although her talents in each are not as obvious. Cooking is also a great outlet for her. Even though she enjoys cooking as a hobby rather than as a job, she has found that it balances her state of mind over time.

Night Owl

From twilight on is when Riley’s creativity really starts to flow. This is the time she chooses to get into writing, meditating, or just walking in the moonlight. She loves the stillness and mystery of the night. It's like a second home to her. Having been a prefect during her last year at Hogwarts, she had gotten used to late night patrols and not going to sleep until the early hours of the morning. It is easier for her to go to sleep late and wake up early rather than the opposite. It was during these late night ventures around the castle that she found most of her inspiration. There was no one awake to bother her while she wrote, and no noises in the common room save for the crackling of the dying fire.

Riley has a very interesting relationship with her brother. Most would call it love/hate, but it's a bit different. The two of them get along pleasantly, the only thing is they have different opinions on most things. Being quite protective of their younger sister, Riley tends to offer her advice more spurred on by her own emotion and feelings whereas Jacob gives her logical and reasonable advice. They often bump heads on what they think is right for their ounger sister. But despite their differences, Jacob and Riley have a very close, loving relationship. It's true that he doesn't always approve of her choices in men (AKA Ryder) but he ultimately knows it's her life and she's going to live it how she sees fit.

Daniela Maria Ravelli

Dani and Riley are your typical sisters. Although they are total opposites when it comes to likes and dislikes, they still have a close-knit relationship. The elder sister gives the younger sister love life advice and the younger sister allows the elder to wear her clothes. Riley and Dani are a bit closer to each other than they are to Jacob, but that's mostly because Riley is the only one of the siblings who knows what their mom puts Dani through.

Riley has a Northern Spotted owl named Aria. Northern Spotted Owls are dark brown with round or oval white spots on the head, neck, back and have a whitish underbody with brown bars along the abdomen and chest. Their flight feathers are dark brown in color and have light brown or white bars. They have dark eyes contrary to most owls which have light eyes. The facial disk has white feathers around the eyes running down each side of the beak.
