&& Lesson One: The ideal has many names, beauty is but one of them;

BIRTH NAME: Adriana Andersen

Her mother having been an avid fan of the muggle playwright William Shakespeare, she chose to name her only child after a character in his play The Comedy of Errors. Adriana was named for the wife of Antipholus of Ephesus, though her name also bears the meaning 'Dark' in the Italian language.

NICKNAME(S): Tutor Girl

The infamous nickname, bestowed upon her by none other than the human rumor mill herself, Gossip Girl. Being centered upon the 'elite' tends to make the newsmonger quite forgetful of other's names. Adriana was referred to as 'Tutor Girl' in one of GG's first reports on the unusual friendships of Cody McAdams. It's pretty much stuck with her ever since.

GENDER:Female

Winning at a game of chance, or so she thinks, Adriana was born a female. Females tend to be a bit more emotional than their male counterparts, and they are also likely to be worlds more agreeable than males.

EYE COLOR:Brown

Adriana has pretty brown eyes. Although quite a common eye color, hers are a bit lighter than most people's, giving them a unique sparkle to them that especially shows when she is smiling.

HAIR COLOR:Brown

Tutor girl has golden brown hair. It used to be really dark brown until she started spending a lot more time outside in the sun, now it's lighter and she likes it even more.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:

Adriana has a thin pink scar on the side of her left hand. It's thin, but noticeable enough if you are looking at her hands. After her mother passed away, she went home and hit a statuette that she had received from her mother just before her death. She kept hitting it until she bled, and the figurine broke. Regretting her actions afterwards, the scar has been a constant reminder that she ruined one of her most prized possessions. The statue could not be repaired, but Adriana still keeps the pieces in a small box stored within her trunk.

Perhaps Adriana's biggest goal at the moment is to not only keep on top of her school work, but help others do so through her tutoring sessions. She is also striving to get over her fear of heights with help from her best friend Cody McAdams, but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon.

SKILLS:

Adriana is exceptionally adept in the field of Potions, unlike many of her classmates. Alongside her knack for potion making, she is also skilled in the area of Transfiguration, though she hosts an unyielding dislike for the subject. Aside from magical skills, Adriana is a gifted tutor. She has the talent of teaching her peers in such ways that they understand the subject matter and she likes nothing better than seeing that look of accomplishment on their face whenever they get it right.

BOGGART:

The scariest moment in her life was the day that her mother passed away. Naturally, when faced with a boggart Adriana would see her mother's corpse lying on the floor in front of her. After using the Ridikkulus! spell, it bursts into a shower of colorful confetti.

PATRONUS:

Adriana's patronous takes the shape of the endangered Whooping Crane. When fully conjured, it stands at about a meter and a half tall,and it flies around the room with a wingspan of about two meters.

AMORTENTIA:

Adriana's personal love potion would smell like a refreshing combination of freshly picked roses, the smell of old leather bound books, and the faint aroma of freshly squeezed lemonade.

ERISED:

If Adriana were to stand before the Mirror of Erised, she would see herself standing before a large group of students wearing very fine robes and teaching.

DEMENTOR EVOKED MEMORY:

Perhaps the most terrifying day in her life was the day that her mother passed away. It was the beginning of the summer just after her first year at Hogwarts. One early Thursday morning, Adriana was roused from bed by a loud tapping at her window. The owl post. Finding it unusual that it would come to her window rather than her parents', she took it and found her report card among the envelopes. Tearing it open, she happily read it over and found that she had received O's in everything. Excited to tell her mother about it since her father was off on a business trip, she ran into her parents room and jumped onto their bed to find her mother still asleep. After shaking her to wake up several times, Adriana realized that she was not simply sleeping; she was dead.
